Field Assessments - No Power & Compressed Air
Field Assessments with No Power & Compressed Air are available for non-production labelers that cannot be powered-up for the evaluation. This is frequently the case when a non-production labeler is in storage. Field Assessments without power require approximately four hours to complete.
A Field Assessment without power provides a general evaluation of the condition and appearance of the machine. The focus of the assessment is on identifying visibly damaged components, missing components, cannibalized components, and non-OEM components that cannot be supported by B & H.
During a Field Assessment with No Power & Compressed Air, the FSE visually inspects all machine components to determine:
- What machine components, if any, are missing?
- What machine components, if any, are non-OEM?
- Which machine components, if any, are visibly damaged?
- Which machine components, if any, will require heavy cleaning?
1. Machine Evaluation Worksheet
2. Technical Notes
Machine Evaluation WorksheetThe Machine Evaluation Worksheet documents the observed state of individual labeler parts and machine components.
In the event that more than one labeler is being evaluated, each labeler will receive its own Machine Evaluation Worksheet.
Technical NotesTechnical Notes, with supporting photographs, accompany the Machine Evaluation Worksheets for each labeler being evaluated. These notes focus on the parts or components that are missing, damaged or will require heavy cleaning. It will also highlight the presence of any non-OEM parts, and provide an assessment of any service and support issues presented by these non-OEM components.
The Technical Notes for each part or component include a description of the defect or problem, a photo of the target part or component, a description of the impact the defect is having on the labeler, and a recommended solution. The supporting photographs help clearly identify the wear or condition issue affecting machine performance.
Completed Field AssessmentsCompleted Field Assessments With No Power & No Compressed Air can be used by B & H Inside Sales Coordinators to generate Parts and / or Service Quotations for components to replace missing, damaged or non-OEM components. These quotations help a customer, or a prospective buyer of a pre-owned B & H labeler, gain a partial understanding of the investment required to get their labeler back into full production condition.
