Field Assessments - With Power & Compressed Air
Field Assessments With Power & Compressed Air are available for non-production labelers that can be powered-up for the evaluation. They require approximately four to six hours to complete.
During a Field Assessment With Power & Compressed Air, the FSE:
- Visually inspects all machine components
- Measures run-out of all major machine shafts: vacuum drum, glue roller, and star wheel
Field Assessments With Power & Compressed Air do not address:
- labeling quality
- label registration or label cut
- change parts
1. Machine Evaluation Worksheet
2. Technical Notes
Machine Evaluation WorksheetThe Machine Evaluation Worksheet documents the condition of individual labeler parts and machine components using a five point rating system. The rating system is simple and ranges from a "5" which represents a part or component that is in good working order, all the way to a "1" which represents a broken or missing part that should be replaced.
In the event that more than one labeler is being evaluated, each labeler will receive its own Machine Evaluation Worksheet.
Technical NotesTechnical Notes, with supporting photographs, accompany the Machine Evaluation Worksheets for each labeler being evaluated. These notes focus on the parts or components that are having, or are likely to have, the biggest negative impact on speed, labeling quality and machine uptime.
The Technical Notes for each part or component include a description of the defect or problem, a photo of the target part or component, a description of the impact the defect is having on the labeler, and a recommended solution. The supporting photographs help clearly identify the wear or condition issue affecting machine performance.
Completed Field AssessmentsCompleted Field Assessments can be used by B & H Inside Sales Coordinators to generate Parts and / or Service Quotations for required spare parts or requested new machine components or upgrades. These quotations help a customer, or a prospective buyer of a pre-owned B & H labeler, better understand the investment required to get their labeler back into full production condition.
